M+D Flugzeugbau is a manufacturing company of light aircraft and was founded by pilots, and pilots build their planes. This is a great concept – one which is both effective and logical. When it comes to air travel, expertise is essential. Their design and manufacturing requirements are extraordinarily high, and fulfilling them is a tremendous challenge for them. M&D Flugzeugbau GmbH is also JS’s main partners in Europe performing crucial functions in terms of European certification.  M&D is a full design organization and is the holder for JS’s type certificate in Europe.  All JS gliders with an EASA type certificate are produced under M&D’s production approval. Furthermore all JS gliders arriving in Europe go through M&D’s final quality check procedure, preparing the gliders for hand-over and ensuring all the required paperwork is completed.

There is, perhaps, something else which sets M+D Flugzeugbau apart from the rest, and that is their overwhelming desire to be part of a solution, rather than part of a problem.
