“My first flight in a JS1B was enough to convince me to buy a Jonker sailplane. My first flight in the 21m convinced me that this was the glider I wanted for long-distance flying. My first flight in the JS3 however surprised me after several hundred hours in the JS1 – It’s a completely different bird.
So far, I’ve only been able to complete a couple of 750s in the flatlands and the mountains with my JS1. Nothing wrong with the birds – it’s more a question of timing and likely a lack of skill.
I like both my JS1 and JS3 for their performance (long legs), looks, and handling. I also like Jonker Sailplanes and have a great relationship with its team.”
